Welcome to Bethany House
of Northern Virginia
Bethany House of Northern Virginia successfully hosted its first ever special event, the Garden of Light reception, on Saturday, May 12th. With approximately 80 guests gathered at the Old Town Holiday Inn, we were able to celebrate and share the strength and resilience of women that have overcome the devastation of domestic violence. The event featured wonderful food and drink, pampering services including facials and massages, a silent auction and live music by the local band Come Out Swinging. The Garden of Light raised more than $8,000 in support of women and children recovering from domestic violence and allowed a former BHNV client to share a powerful testimony of her past experience of abuse and her prevailing journey to reclaim her life. We are enormously grateful to our Garden of Light sponsors and other contributors including many businesses, clubs and individuals who in all made this event such a success. Because of the great community support and positive response received, we plan to host this event again next year.
