Outreach Mission
The Bethany House of Northern Virginia, Inc. is a (501)(C )(3) non-profit faith-based organization which has a mission to maintain facilities that will care temporarily for batterespouses and their children who are homeless and destitute because of abuse.
Outreach Goals BHNV will provide family with primary support: Shelter Services with a home-like structure in which spouses and children can recover from deep emotional scars and gain life-skills needed for independent living.
BHNV will provide transitional support: Psychological Fellowship with spiritual connections, which facilitate inner healing and Biblical counseling services and Life-skills training.
BHNV will provide Follow-up Support services: Two-year follow-up services designed to assist in preventing the return to an abusive relationship.
Outreach Outcomes Spouses and dependent children are sheltered in a supervised and supported environment, which mirrors as closely as possible, independent living for period of four to six months.
Clients receive crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, life-skill workshops and special group support activities.
Clients gain the skills needed to become self-sufficient and are able to live independently.
Clients find and occupy permanent, affordable long term housing.
